Are you a fan of Italian beer or looking to explore the world of Italian brews? Look no further than Partenope Ristorante, where we offer an extensive selection of the best Italian beers on the market.

Popular Italian Beer Brands

When it comes to Italian beer, there are several popular brands that have made a significant global impact. Among these brands, Peroni, Moretti, and Menabrea stand out and are sure favorites among beer connoisseurs.

Peroni

Peroni is an Italian brewing company that originated in Vigevano, Italy, in 1846. Since then, it has become a prominent name on the international beer scene. Peroni is a staple at many Italian eateries, known for its light-bodied, crisp, and refreshing taste with a mild bitterness.

At Partenope Ristorante, we understand the importance of serving high-quality beer to complement our authentic Italian cuisine. That’s why, among all Italian beers, we have Peroni readily available for our customers. The delicate balance of bitterness and citrus aromatic notes makes it the perfect beer to accompany a wide range of dishes on our menu.

Moretti

Founded in Udine, Italy, in 1859, Moretti produces a range of beers known for their quality and unique taste. The traditional Moretti beer is a lager featuring a balanced, crisp taste with a hint of fruitiness that makes it incredibly refreshing.

Moretti is another Italian beer brand we serve at Partenope Ristorante. Its fruitful hint and malty finish complement our selection of pizzas and pasta, adding a refreshing touch to our hearty meals.

Menabrea

Rounding up our selection of popular Italian beers is Menabrea, a brand with a history dating back to 1846. Based in Biella, Italy, Menabrea is famous for its lagers and ales that they brew using pure mountain water from the Alps.

We at Partenope Ristorante take pride in offering Menabrea to our customers. Known for its distinctive hoppy flavor and light amber color, it pairs exceptionally well with our range of antipasti and entrées. Its depth of flavor makes it a great choice for those wanting to try something different from the more mainstream Italian beers.

Italian Beer Styles

Italy excels in the production of phenomenally distinctive styles such as Pilsner, Lager, and Ale. Each beer style pairs fantastically with various dishes, enhancing the dining experience at Partenope Ristorante.

Pilsner

Italian Pilsner is a beer style appreciated for its light, crisp, and subtly bitter characteristics. Born in the city of Plzen in the Czech Republic, Italian craft breweries have perfected the Pilsner style, adding a local twist with an emphasis on hops to the traditional style.

At Partenope, we recommend pairing Pilsner with our seafood dishes. The beer’s light and refreshing taste perfectly balances the richness of seafood, providing a harmonious culinary encounter.

Lager

No conversation about Italian beer would be complete without mentioning lagers. Italian lagers are typically smooth, clean, and full-flavored, with a crisp finish. This beer style is versatile, enjoying popularity worldwide.

Our Italian lagers at Partenope Ristorante make an excellent accompaniment to our pizza offerings. The crisp and malty nature of lagers paired with our handcrafted pizzas accentuates the flawless blend of tastes, providing a truly Italian experience.

Ale

Italian ales are another popular beer style, distinguished by their fuller body and more conspicuous malt flavor compared to lagers. They’re characterized by the use of top-fermenting yeast, which provides a wide spectrum of flavors and aromas, from fruity to spicy.

When dining at Partenope Ristorante, try pairing our ales with our range of hearty pasta dishes. The robust nature of Ales works brilliantly with the rich flavors of our pasta, creating a harmonious match that will leave you wanting more.

This was our second visit. After reading an article about this restaurant being number 12 best out of 50 United States for their Pizza and having gnocchi on their menu, we had to try it. On our first visit last October 2024, we had a spectacular meal and know why they got such a high rating. This visit fell short. The gnocchi on the first visit was with a red sauce. This visit they had changed to a white sauce with large pieces of rapini. Not the traditional preparation that we love, but it was still tasty. Our server seemed to be distracted the whole time he was waiting on us. Rushing off each time he stopped by the table and instead of looking at us, he was often looking around the restaurant. We knew one of the pizzas, Napoli Centrale, that we definitely wanted. But we were asking for recommendations for the next pizza, between Calabrese and Tridente. We pick Tridente. At some point he came back and said he didn't think it was enough food for three adults and three children so we ordered the Calabrese. When the pizzas came, the one we definitely wanted wasn't included. This prompted the manager to come over to see what was going on. We ended up getting an extra pizza on the house because of the confusion. This experience left us disappointed. It's a 45-minute drive to get to this restaurant. While the food is delicious, I'm not sure that will rush back anytime soon.
